I'm back on eBay !!!!!

I can't believe I'm back on eBay... believe me it took a lot of hard work... but I just want you to know it is possible to get back onto eBay if you are proven that you did nothing wrong. That was a very frustrating and hurtful journey, I've been buying and selling on eBay since they first started, so it hurt for them to throw me off like that, since they didnt know the circumstances... in the end... I'm back on... I'm still in shock. Contact me if you want to know more...

Ebay account suspended !!!

Wow it's been a long time since I've blogged on here... lots of stuff going on in my life.... well anyway, I just have to post about this... Ebay suspended my account two weeks ago. I was shocked. I couldn't figure out why they had done it when I first opened the email, then I saw a familiar name. About 4 years ago I had gone into an Ebay business with 2 other people... after awhile only the one person was really doing all the work, so I suggested that I would like to get out of the business with them. Unfortunately I was the one that had the original ebay account and when I tried to get his name replace with mine I was told by ebay that was impossible. So I figured I couldnt do anything and just let it go (my mistake). The person using the account then didnt handle some back orders to well (he probably should have refunded the money and explained to them that the company he used was having a hard time getting the product in... well in the meantime he started getting in the complaints and Ebay suspended is account... then they came after my accounts. I sent them what info they asked of me but they wont let me get back on until he complies with everything he has to do... which includes getting the negative feedback back off, which is easier said than done since the one person was understandably upset by the way he handled it. So now I'm suspended and I doubt that Ebay will let me have my account back. It is very upsetting as I was almost up to 1,000 feedbacks on the one account and I was right in the middle of several auctions when they shut me down. Ebay makes it impossible to talk to a real person about this type of thing. What do they care they're a big company... someone like me doesn't matter to them. If anyone has gone through this and gotten back on Ebay let me know... I think its impossible personally. My words of wisdom: Don't go into business with anyone unless you are really, really sure about them and if they will all work to make the business successful.

I'm finally back

I've been so busy... now I'm back. Trying different things. Lots of stuff going on. One project is we're creating new T-shirts with some great ideas... can't wait to get them out there. If you want to know more, let me know and I'll fill you in... some cool ideas.... well its late, got to go. Gonna help change this world a little at a time with this global warming... working on it... coming up with ideas about that too... if you have any ideas, please let me know. Sorry for the rambling, but its late and I'm tire... have a good night.

March of the Empire Penguins

I watched on cable the other night the march of the Empire Penguins. If you've never seen it, you really should. They're incredible. How they live and survive the way they do is just unbelieveable. I know I couldn't do it.

French filmmaker Luc Jacquet created a movie about their exploits in "The March of the Penguins." I have get out there and see it. It's a nature documentary, but its also a love story. Morgan Freeman narrates the movie.

They endure such extremes. They breed during the Antarctic winter and during the four months of darkness they don't eat food or drink water and they continuously march in a tightly packed circle while balancing either and egg or a chick on their feet so that they don't come in contact with the ice. Now I'm talking about a whole lot of penguins all pressed together to keep warm doing a slow march for four months straight!!! I know I couldn't do that. I don't even think that monks have that much discipline, nor any humans that I know for that matter. Imagine slowly walking around in a circle with a hundred friends on top of the ice in darkness for four months while balancing your baby on your feet... now that's a weird picture.

And before they even did this ritual they had to make an insanely long journey across a frozen tundra in Antarctica. The walk that journey single file and they are very determined to get there (I guess they would have to be, otherwise they would just stay home). Their whole goal for doing this is to create life, but they have to defy death every single step of the way... besides starvation, exhaustion, cold, snow storms, they also have predators waiting for them... hungry seals and birds. Something mighty powerful must be in their brains to make them do all that.

The slowly walking while huddling would finally end when the sun returned. When the baby would emerge from underneath their bottom they could still secrete a "milk" nourishment for the baby from their oesophagus. Simply amazing. Genetics... who comes up with these things...

I wouldn't want to be an Empire Penguin... but seriously if you haven't seen that movie you really should... it at leasts makes you realize what a decent life humans have...

Ransom Myers overfishing crusader died

Ransom Myers, a former government scientist who sought to warn that overfishing would lead to collapse of Atlantic cod populations and later discovered that 90 percent of the world's bluefin tuna and other large predatory fish had disappeared, has died, he was 54.
He was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor in November and spent his final months in the hospital able to speak only a few words. He died Tuesday in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
Myers was a gifted mathematician and biologist who shook up the insular world of fisheries science with blunt statements about how various species of sharks, turtles and fish were headed toward extinction if industrial fishing did not retreat from excessive hunting.
"Humans have always been very good at killing big animals," Myers said. "Ten thousand years ago, with just some pointed sticks, humans managed to wipe out the woolly mammoth, saber tooth tigers, mastodons and giant vampire bats. The same could happen in the oceans."
Such pronouncements didn't spring from pre-conceived ideology but rather from patterns he discerned from fishing records, scientific surveys and other data he collected.
Myers plain-spoken style got him into trouble in the 1990s, when he condemned the Canadian government's handling of Atlantic cod fishery even though he worked for Canada's Department of Fisheries and Oceans.

Larry Birkhead's the Daddy !

I am so happy for Larry Birkhead that they finally revealed that he's the daddy of Anna Nicole's baby girl. He'd been fighting for custody before Anna Nicole's death and was probably the only sincere person who was in her life and maybe she couldn't handle that because he wanted her to get clean and she was in denial. Howard Stern, the control freak, is finally getting his, how sad for Larry Birkhead that it took this long. Hopefully Howard Stern sticks to what he said that he won't fight for custody. What a lot of drama for a woman that married a rich old man and took advantage of him... but she was also a sweet confused person, who was surrounded by selfish people (I guess what goes around comes around).

ZAP The Electric Car and iPods

I received my ZAP newsletter today (www.zapworld.com) The ride of the future. Ok those of us green people.... in the newspaper it said the city of Richmond and ZAP Partner to fight global warming. They are starting a pilot program intended to research the effectiveness of implementing EVs into municipal fleet operations. They also stated that "Studies show electric cars cost less to refuel and maintain, not to mention the reduction in noise and gas emissions compared to internal combustion vehicles," says ZAP CEO Steve Schneider.

ZAP portable energy is expanding into mass retailers and iPod users... that should make a lot of us very happy! Multiple Dog and Cat Household

Ok... they say that having a dog or cat lowers your blood pressure... but when you have multiple (6 dogs and 2 cats) and most of them are old and just like people... grouchy... I would question if they still lower your blood pressure. Don't get me wrong I love them all... they each have their own personalities and quirks... Junior is 17 and deaf, incontinent, not of sound mind and fragile, but every once in a while when I hold him his tail starts to wag and for a few moments I see the old Junior come back... I know death is not to far off for him, so each day I try not to lose my patience with him (which is tough at times) and I hold him as if it may be the last time.

Chloe is my rock to lean on when I'm sad... she's a Rottweiler and very quiet with very expressive eyes... she just looks at me and sighs when I tell her my troubles... she never judges me, she just accepts me for who I am, faults and all.

More of the crew some other time...

Should Knut the Polar Bear have been left to die ?

The animal activists said Knut the Polar Bear should have been left to die when his mother ignored him and his brother (who later died). The Zoo officials intervened and raised the Polar Bear cub themselves. This caused a big time rucus with the animal rights groups. This is probably the first time that I've ever disagreed with an animal rights group.

The animal rights activist Frank Albrecht was quoted as saying "The zoo must kill the bear."

He explained that though he thought it was wrong of the zoo to have saved the cub's life, now that the bear can live on his own, it would be equally wrong to kill him. "If a polar bear mother rejected the baby, then I believe the zoo must follow the instincts of nature," Albrecht said. "In the wild, it would have been left to die."

This will effect every single one of us eventually, if it isn't already... 50 years this world is going to be a much different world... much worse... much worse... so tell me what ARE you doing??? Al Gore Warns Congress of Urgency to act

Just finished reading an article in my local New Jersey paper... "Gore finds a different climate in D.C. He is trying to urge Congress to fight global warming. I don't know about you but I am so happy to finally see people reacting to global warming... now I'm not one of the minority that thinks those of you that are still driving around in your big SUV's... thinking you are doing nothing wrong...that's it's your right as an American to do what you want... well the consequences are already starting to catch up on us... Armadillos being seen in large numbers where they never were before... Polar ice caps melting at a faster rate than they originally thought... the cry is going out now to each and every one of us... get up off your butt and start doing what we each and every one should be doing... don't give in and drive an SUV... cry out for better gas mileage cars... buy a hybrid or a car that gives a better gas mileage... and make sure you keep the tires inflated to the correct amount... and clean that car out of clutter... the extra weight wastes gas mileage... turn off the lights if your not in the room... tell those around you to do the same... are you a little cold... do as my Dad always told me while growing up... if your cold, put on a sweater... if you can save a trip in the car, do it... save the gas for another run... Ok I'm done with my soapbox for today... I'd love to hear from anyone that has some good suggestions to save our planet... If you have children, or plan to you really should be concerned... in 40 years from now this world will not be a nice place for them... think about it...as you drive instead of walk... or leave the car running even for an extra minute...
